Welcome back from my monthlong blogging vacay!
I'm getting back into blogging, so you can expect a lot of great DIY goodies, home updates, crafts, and guest bloggers with greater insights to keeping home than I.
But first, I want to kick off 2014 on the blog with things I learned in 2013. Think of it as a teaser for blog post topics to come.
Things I learned in 2013:
- I am peanut butter intolerant (which is a HUGE bummer because I love, love, love peanut butter toast). Does anyone have suggestions for a peanut butter substitute? Help!
- It's difficult but necessary to support your 50+ widower father when he starts to date two years after the passing of your mother (to whom he was married nearly 40 years).
- Raising a 13-year-old boy, even part time, is challenging but a lot of fun. Every time we see the kid he's inches taller and looking more and more like his dad every day.
- I can, successfully, run a nonprofit (at least for three months... I'll keep you posted on the long-term outcome!).
There's a lot going on our lives, and 2014 isn't going to be any different.
