Back at it!
It's been a year since I've written, and for that I'm sorry. A lot has happened in the last year - I got a new job, the hubby's photography business has taken off, and we're transitioning a family business into a new nonprofit. My dad met someone special and got engaged. The Kiddo got his driver's permit! And Dan and I are trying to have a baby. But don't worry - Chester is the same fun-loving pup he always was.
Our life is getting more and more entwined. We are still working on the house - we've made a few fun changes, and Dan has been busy building me more furniture. I still haven't mastered a meal planning system. There are piles of laundry - clean and dirty - everywhere. We still have too much stuff, and the house feels like it's in a constant state of disarray.
All of my friends are having babies - some are on their second - and I can't wait to join them. I'm in major baby mode and trying not too put too much pressure on the idea of getting pregnant so I don't stress myself out and thus make it harder to conceive.
I'm trying to cook more so that we spend less. On Mother's Day we bought a bunch of vegetable and fruit plants and created our first food garden. Some things are doing well and others aren't. We joined a gym, again, but this time as a family decision. Hopefully the fact that it was a family effort will make it easier to actually make it to the gym. In addition, we are trying to take advantage of the fact that we live within walking distance of Como Lake.
A lot has happened. And, with any luck, a lot more will happen. Stay tuned - we would love to have you along for the ride!
